The relatively bright planetary nebula candidate StDr 143 in the southern constellation Microscopium shines in a strong azure blue.
The image shows only the [O III]-rich inner core of the structure, which is only a few arcminutes in size.
StDr 143 is surrounded by a huge halo of H-alpha (ionised hydrogen), 53 arc minutes in diameter.
