Description

I've always found globular clusters to be more interesting visually than photographically but this image may be changing my mind!

Processing steps:

for each of the R, B and G masters:

dynamic crop

mure denoise

combined masters:

channel combination

dbe

pcc

histogram transformation

HDR multiscale transform

curves (contrast & color)

adv sharpening script

It was the HDR multiscale transform that was the star of the show here. I stretched until the core was nearly saturated and then HDRMT rescued all of that detail and took my breath away with how much was visible. I'd never found much use for that process in my other images since the dynamic range isn't very large in most deep sky objects but for globs the difference between the extremities and the core is quite large and HDRMT did its magic bringing both into view simultaneously. Of course, this trades off that intense central core for a better resolved core but that was what I was hoping to present in this image so it worked out well.
