Description

Abell 2218 is a galaxy cluster about 2 billion light years away in the constellation Draco.

A few of the gravitational arcs are to seen in the image.

I also could measure the amplitude change of the variable star V0553.

V0553 ia a HADS (High Amplitude Delta(δ) Scuti Star)

Imaged on 2021 June 3/4/5

Lum: 150x2 min ASI174mm

Colour: 24x5 min Moravian G3-11000c

HADS

High Amplitude Delta(δ) Scuti stars. They are radial pulsators showing asymmetric light curves (steep ascending branches) and amplitudes >0.15 mag.
