Description

Added some more RGB data to this one as well as some Ha and I'm pleased with it for this year.

This is the brightest, diffuse reflection nebula in the sky and contains some active star-forming regions. Reflection nebulae are clouds of gas illuminated by nearby stars. The red gradient on the right side of the image is a part of Barnard's loop, an emission nebula.

R,G,B 45 exposures each 10 minutes, Ha 12 exposures of 15 minutes for a total of nearly 25 hours of acquisition time. Shot at my remote observatory in Taxahaw, SC from my home in Charlotte, NC.
