Description

The two fit perfectly in one picture with the small 5" Newton.
Compared to other globular clusters, the stars in NGC 5053 are much less concentrated, with only 3500 stars spread across a diameter of about 160 light-years and it looks much more like an open cluster. It is approximately 1° east of M53.
The transparency was unfortunately very bad because of the Sahara fog, but the seeing was quite good. I'm looking forward to see how the Koi-Fish galaxy has turned out with the large setup.
