Description

Also known as NGC1952, the Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant in Taurus located about 6,500 light years away and spans about 11 light-years. The actual supernova event was seen and recorded by Chinese astronomers in 1054.



Taken over multiple nights from December 2017 to January 2018 from Campbell, CA, USA. Sky: 18.80 mag/arcsec^2
