10 x 12 roll-off-roof observatory I designed and built myself in the fall/winter of 2019. The design was based on the "Skyshed" plans you can find elsewhere online, but heavily modified to meet my needs.

I started my design in 3d to prove my concept, and create
detail drawings I could use for fabrication. I actually made modifications after these drawings were created, so you may not want to use them ver-batim, since they really need to be updated. For example, I ended up taking that top piece off the east wall and making it straight across.
I optimized the dimensions to meet my requirements which were:
- Door height must be tall enough so I don't have to stoop.
- No rafters so I can bump my head when walking around inside when the roof is closed.
- Board lengths optimized to save lumber cost. So the majority of my boards were 6' long, so I could buy a number of 12' boards and cut what I needed resulting in minimal scrap.
- Light weight roof components (polycarb corrugated roof), and a large number of garage door rollers to help distribute weight.
- Vinyl siding so I would conform to HOA guidelines
