Description

2-panel mosaic of the region from M51 to M101 with Alkaid splitting the field. Shot with a Canon 600D DSLR, Skyguider Pro, and Rokinon 135mm f/2 lens. The left-hand panel was shot one night, with 88 180-second light frames, and the right-hand panel another night with 101 180-second lights. Both sets were calibrated with 30 each darks, flats, and dark flats. Stacked and initial processing in APP, with final adjustments in GIMP. I did a 2X drizzle integration in APP to bring out more detail in the galaxies.

C&C welcome and appreciated!
