Description

I've been putting together a setup based around twin Samyang 135mm F2 lens, and this image is part of the testing and troubleshooting of that setup.

Its a 9 panel mosaic that started out as 80 minutes of data from near my house, but once I was confident that things were working well, I went and shot another 7 hours of data from a dark sky and combined it all into this result.

This setup uses twin Canon 6D cameras with the twin Samyang 135 lenses on a single AZ-GTI mount. Currently, one of the 6Ds is modified, but the plan is to have them both modified shortly.

I really like very wide fields shot at this imaging scale, so there is already a temptation to expand the setup to 3 (or 4) Samyang 135mm lenses on a larger mount, but I'm getting ahead of myself there! I want to complete and get a lot more use out of this setup before going down that path and making things more complex and expensive straight away

As a personal easter egg, it wasn't until I was editing this image that I noticed a comet in the middle of the Zeta Ophiuchus nebula. I looked it up and its Comet C/2017 K2
