Description

Not so usually photographed, this area of Lacerta hosts a plethora of HII emission nebulas, being LBN 430 the most prominent, overlapped with LBN 439, all seemingly part of Sh 2-126. This image also highlights LBN 437, a molecular cloud that resembles a sort of little monster with starry eyes, being its mouth the Herbig-Haro object HH398.

Taken over two nights (18 and 20th Aug).

This image has been highlighted by the European Space Agency (ESA) in its spanish Twitter account.

This image has been published in the spanish magazine "Astronomía", issue #257 (November 2020), p. 87.
