Description

A close up view of the 'Gulf of Mexico' region of the North American Nebula in the constellation Cygnus. The Cygnus Wall is on the left and the Pelican Nebula is out of view on the right. The black area is a molecular cloud of dark obscuring dust. The Cygnus Wall spans about twenty lightyears.
