Description

One of the most unusual galaxies I've imaged. Looking at it closely, I see 4 or 5 rings. I was able to capture some of the outer faint ring, then a transition ring, then an outer inner ring, then could be a star forming ring area with Ha and blue stars, then a dark ring surrounding a bright core. Other than blending in some Ha this is fairly true to life color. I'm more than pleased with the image as with full moon, LRGB and finally narrowband Ha. I'll look forward to imaging next year with more focal length...so interesting...must read up on this one.

Advanced acquisition was not working:

L = 26X300s; RGB = 12X300s; Ha = 16X300s, 6.3 hours total

I love to see how many distant galaxies in these images hence I turn on PGC plate solving...hope that's not distracting to you. and IC 3808 in the bottom left corner is 226MLYs away! Oh, M94 is 16MLYs.
