Description

This image is the sum of 1170 60 secs unguided subs taken during the nights of the 14th, 15th and 16th of August from my home terrace. Imaging train was as follow:

Newton Orion 250 F 3.9 + QHY183M cooled + Ioptron CEM60 + Baader Coma Reducer + Baader 35 nm HA filter

On top of that there was an Acuter ED90 + modded Canon d600 taking color frames that will be processed soon.

Image is almost unprocessed - just stacked, cropped, stretched with Astroart. With Astroart I have also applied the Gradient Removal and Star Reduction routines.

Sh2-155 (also designated Sharpless 155 or S155) is a diffuse nebula in the constellation Cepheus, within a larger nebula complex containing emission, reflection, and dark nebulosity. It is widely known as the Cave Nebula, though that name was applied earlier to Ced 201, a different nebula in Cepheus. Sh2-155 is an ionized H II region with ongoing star formation activity, at an estimated distance of 725 parsecs (2400 light-years) from Earth (Wikipedia)
