Description

This is one of my first complete Milky Way shots, so I am very proud of it. I went to a lake, on a mountain range to capture it where the sky is really dark, Bortle Class 3. Now I understand the power of dark sky! I am amazed to see all of the Nebulae (Lagoon, Trifid, Omega, Eagle, Dark Nebulae), Sagittarius Star Cloud, Star Clusters (M 22, M 25, M 28, M 21, M 23) and all the other Deep Space Objects. Especially the globular cluster M 22 (center - left), seems like a huge star! To be honest I didn't believe that I could cpature all the nebulosity and the colors without star tracker.

The stack is made out of 34 Light Frames, and 30 Dark Frames, at f/2,2, 8 seconds, ISO 3200, using Nikon D90 and AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm F1.8 G on a tripod, without tracking. I stacked the frames with Sequator and processed with Photoshop and Camera Raw. I also used Starnet++ to remove the stars on a layer and increase the nebulosity. Afterwards I blended the starless with the original. I am going to upload a revision, of the starless layer aloneThe only thing I want to be more careful with, next time, is perhaps the star color and shape.

Thanks for checking!
