Description

I took advantage of a very good night to double up with at attempt at the Dark Doodad, after completing another pane of my Carina/Crux mosaic.

I think the DD is the most beautiful object south of -70. Sorry 47Tuc but the DD field also has a quite a lovely globular already and the SMC is frankly a galaxy that has been touched with the ugly stick)

However, the Dark Doodad is ummm.... dark, and so it is probably stretching the abilities of my 100mm Esprit, albeit the 550mm focal length is near perfect for the scale of this beautiful object. It the sort of object a RASA was built for.
