Description

NGC2467 is a star forming region with abundant Ha signal. In true RGB, it looks like the face of a mandrill. For me, narrow band is a better choice for flexible color manipulation. In the bright blue area of lower right section lies HD 64315, a massive young star that is helping shaping the structure of the whole nebular region.  NGC2467 is a bit low from the latitude of Texas. I get roughly 2 hours 45 mins per clear night after it rises above the wall of WTO. This project took me almost 2 months. I started it on 11/26/2021 and completed it on 1/17/2022.  In dark night I often turn to other subjects for LRGB subs. All subs for this target were collected under moonlight, quite a few subs(hours) were deleted because of bad seeing.

Subs:
Ha: 16x1800s
O3: 24x1800s
S2: 16x1800s
R/G/B: 20x120s each
