Description

NGC 1499 The California Nebula is a emission nebula in Perseus.

I captured this in the parking lot of Starizona in Tucson AZ., testing the new filter slider with my ZWO 071 MCPro.

The near full moon was illuminating the sky glowing about 40 degrees away from the nebula.

I used the Optolong L-eNhance filter to hopefully capture this faint hydrogen abundant object.

I cropped a good portion of the right and left edges of the image. My stars don't look too good.

I ordered the Hotech laser collimator, to try and fix this problem, that has been pestering me since November when I purchased the Hyperstar system. Hopefully I can resolve the star problems.

Bortle 6 Seeing 6/10.

Description: I wanted to redden the highlights a bit. I thought they had a purple tint. I also Denoised the background a bit, and reduced the smaller stars.
