Description

HARGB composition on the Propeller Nebula (DWB111) with RGB stars.

The ability to remove the stars from a picture with the StarXterminator tool gave me the chance to create this picture of DWB111
using the four Ha Red Green Blue filters to compose an HaRGB image where the Ha channel (hydrogen) has been merged into the Red channel (15%)
and into the Blue channel (5%).
I called this image "HARGB"
Instead, from the composition of the three RGB channels I extracted, with the same tool, the stars only, in order to get to an image of the stars
with their "original" color, without the contamination of the Ha channel.
I called this image "Stars".
Then thanks to Pixelmath and a very difficult formula, which I thought about for whole nights without being able to sleep a wink,
I came to the fusion of the "HARGB" image with the "Stars" image. The formula was: HARGB + Stars. To lose one's sleep
The interesting thing however is the following. To get to this final result I shot the colors in 2x2 binning, and the Ha in 1x1 binning.
For the colors I took 15 x75" exposures binning 2x2 (20 minutes per RGB channel i.e. in an hour all done). For the Ha channel 6x600" bin 1
Binning power!

Hope you like this image. Cheers. Doc.
