Description

This rarely photographed region of the Virgo galaxy cluster, around galaxy groups of NGC 4410 and NGC 4411, is a very dense galaxy region that contains a vast diversity of galaxies. Spiral, elliptical, peculiar and galaxy clusters. to the lower right we have the spiral galaxy pair NGC4411, they have a nearly identical redshift that puts them 55-75 million light-years away. They seem close to each other but don't show signs of interaction. But, NGC 4410 does! (to the north of NGC4411) a group of interacting, highly distorted galaxies, connected by tidal bridges,  about 350 million light-years distant. The interaction looks like to be between four galaxies but in fact the group has 10 or 12 galaxies interacting! The image also shows multiple galaxy clusters and hundreds of fuzzies billions of light years away! Photographed in April last year, but I wanted to go deeper and to give this extremely rich and diverse area justice. So I decided to wait until the spring this year and try to gather more material, but weather being awful for several months in Sweden made me lose hope of obtaining more material and eventually decided to let it go.
