Description

I read about the Recurrent Nova that just brightened and had to get it. Here is a quote from the Sky & Telescope article (https://skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-news/recurrent-nova-rs-ophiuchi-just-blew-its-top/).
The recurrent nova RS Ophiuchi dramatically brightened from magnitude 11.2 to 4.8 over August 8-9, 2021. The outburst image was taken on August 9.42 UT and paired with an older photo from the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS) from July 1989 when the star was at minimum. Mouse-over the image and see the starfield before the eruption. This image comes from the DSS database.

You might also notice a star in my image, in the right quadrant, that has moved compared to the DSS image. It's not an asteroid or a planet, it's just the High Proper Motion star G 20-16A that has moved since the DSS image was made. There is always something interesting to see in your images if you look closely enough. Thanks to Sabastian at AAVSO for identifying the star.
