Several images of a huge region of solar activity, taken in 2017.
There are four separate images, taken on different days over a six-day period.
Sky conditions prevented imaging on other days.
You can clearly see how this 75,000-mile-across region was dynamic, over the period.
The larger image, of the solar disk, is a composite of all four images, showing the movement of AR12665 near the solar equator.
