Description

The Coalsack Nebula (Southern Coalsack, or simply the Coalsack) is one of the most prominent dark nebula in the skies and is located east of Acrux (Alpha Crucis).

Captured untracked with DSLR and lens from my backyard. It was an exceptionally clear night and I was surprised how well this came out. Although I did use the "interesection" mode stacking in DSS and that cropped a lot of garbage out.
