Description

vdB14 and vdB15 are reflection nebula located in the larger Camelopardalis OB1 star forming region. vdB14 is the smaller blue nebula on the left side of the image. It is illuminated by the supergiant HD21389 (CS CAM1).  vdB15 is the larger bluish nebula to the right of vdB14., illuminated by the supergiant HD21291 (CS CAM). This nebula also has a red emission component possibly from the the larger emission nebula Sh2-202 which is just out of this field of view.

This was a very difficult dataset for me to process. The nebulae are relatively weak targets, situated in a star forming region with several supergiant, very bright stars; probably the reason they are not imaged often!  It literally took me days to finally come up with something that I was happy with. Anyway, hope you like it and thanks for looking.
