Description

This is my first take on this image. All data was captured this past weekend, under the full moon - those were the first clear nights I had in 3 months. Ideally, I would've imaged some galaxies, however I had little choice but to go narrowband.

Almost 8 hours of NB data using an IDAS-NBZ filter, followed by around 30 minutes of broadband RGB for the star colors. I'm still struggling to add RGB stars with pixelmath without blowing out the core though - even if the results here were ok.

I framed the target in an 30 degree angle as to add some dynamic to the composition. Although called the Fighting Dragons of Ara, this object in fact remind me of two lions fighting, the one on the right winning over the left one.

31-05-2022: Uploaded a new revision, with more 6 hours of data, for a total of 13h54min if integration time! With this, the OIII regions showed a lot more. I also used a different method of adding RGB stars, which I think made them look more natural.

Title: Dual NB with RGB stars

Description: After almost two months of cloudy nights, I finally gathered more data on a moonless night - a total of 6 hours, in fact!
Processing the image from the start, I also improved on the RGB stars, which I think are much more natural in this version.
