Description

NGC 1333 is classified as a reflection nebula, but its structure is much more complex. It is located in the molecular cloud of Perseus, immersed in dense clouds of gas and dust. It is a region of active star formation. The reddish formations in the photograph are objects by Herbig Haro. These are nebulae associated with newly formed stars. These nebulae are short-lived, on the order of a few thousand years.

The photograph was taken for nine nights in February and March 2021, with not very good seeing.
