Description

Just before the clouds rolled in last night (January 30, 2021), I took this image of the brilliant waning gibbous Moon at about 12:30 AM ET. The image was processed to better reveal lunar mineral distribution in the maria or smooth dark terrains. Bright rayed craters such as Copernicus and Tycho are easily discerned at this phase of the Moon. Stack of more than 1000 images taken with my RASA 8 telescope / ASI294 camera.
