Description

Hoag's object in Serpens Caput constellation. This is a very peculiar object - This is not a planetary nebula and is actually a Galaxy! Unlike Galaxies that have core and arms.. this one has a core and a ring around it! It has yellow core made up of older stars with a ring of blue stars.

Interestingly Hubble version of this image shows another ring Galaxy inside it (Visually inside but is infact much farther away from it! It is not clear how this circular ring Galaxy formed!

I captured this data when I had my scope Edge 11 in Marathon and I never processed it!
