Description

On May 3, 1764 Charles Messier discovered this globular cluster and it became the first object in Messier's catalog that he discovered (others being discovered by other astronomers). It is 33,900 light years away from Earth, contains about half a millions stars, is 11.4 billion years old, and has the most variable stars than any other globular cluster.

This is a single exposure, 20 minutes long. The longest I've taken so far. I did try a 30 minute exposure as well but got some elongation so something happened with tracking.
