Description

C21, also known as NGC4449, is classified as an irregular dwarf galaxy.  Hubble image and interesting writeup here

I weirdly cropped as I had my orientation rotated a bit between nights. I had to take apart my SCT as there was a spider web inside!  The cleaning task required to remove the corrector plate, carefully clean and collimation after assembly.  This was my first time collimating and I believe I got close enough (used the star method).   This object definitely needs more integration time, better seeing and darker skies, but it was a fun project all an all.

Due to the necessary crop, I barely got the little guy, PGC 40984, (to the left) in the frame.  All I could find on it was it's an "anonymous galaxy".  I haven't checked @Gary Imm's anonymous galaxy catalog yet. 😂  Now cloudy for a week so no redo.
