Description

NGC 925 (PGC 9332, MCG 5-6-45) is a magnitude 10.9 barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum, about 30 million light-years away. Delicate spiral arms extend outward from the central bar. Older yellowish suns dominate the central bar, while large blue-white (young) star clusters and red emission nebulae are plainly visible in the spiral arms.

Camera: ZWO ASI1600MM for RGB

Guiding: ZWO ASI 174 on Celestron OAG

Optics: Starizona Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm on Paramount ME

Camera: Apogee U8300 for Lum

Guiding: ST-402 on Innovations Foresight On-Axis Guider and STL-11000 Self guiding

Exposure: LRGB: L:44x15 min R:22x10 min, G:23x10 min, B:17x10 min for a total of 21.33 hrs (105 subs at avg of 725 sec) RGB bin 2

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
