Description

A highly detailed 2-pane mosaic of the Eagle & Omega Nebulae region, as seen near the core of the Milky Way.
The Eagle (M16) & Omega (M17, AKA the Swan Nebula) are 7,000 to 5,000 L/Y away (respectively) from Earth. Both nebulae are giant interstellar clouds of dust and gasses, giving birth to hot young suns.
