Description

Once upon a time I tried to get a glimpse of the most majestic of the GCs, Omega Centauri, but it was too close to the horizon and couldn't really see much at all. Yet it is so bright that it was taken in the antiquity as a star. In reality is most probably the core remnant of a globular galaxy that has been stripped of most of its stars once captured and started revolving inside the Milky Way (same as M54, apparently). In lieu of actually imaging it n person (which is kind of hard to do unless you move way way south or wait another 30,000 years) I decided for the most economical way and here is the result.

Description: Further revision to apply deconvolution to the star field and increase saturation so hopefully star color classes should be more apparent in the core of the GC.
