Description

Before pointing my telescope in Saturn's direction to catch it at opposition, I quickly grabbed some frames on Jupiter before the GRS rotated out of view.

Conditions were the same: good to excellent seeing and almost perfect transparency, spoiled only by a stiff breeze that was causing a bit of shake.

Details are *slightly* blurred as a result, but plenty of detail in the data none-the-less.

This image is a de-rotation of 5 separate 2 min captures, with the top 15% of frames stacked for each.

Oval BA and the GRS grow ever closer together ... it'll be interesting to see whether they influence each other as they pass by. Does anyone know the approximately timeframe for this?

Thanks for looking!
