Description

The Ghost Nebula (designated Sh2-136, VdB 141) is a reflection nebula located in the constellation Cepheus.

With some imagination, a ghost appear with some goules on his arm.

The Ghost nebula is referred to as a Bok globule (cataloged CB230), not an HII region and over 2 light-years across. There are several stars embedded, whose emissions make the nebula shine in brownish colour.

New stars are forming Inside the glowing globule, [CB88] 230, within the Lynds dark nebula LDN 1177.
