Description

Some time ago I had the crazy idea to combine a Metabones SpeedBooster with my great Samyang telephoto lens. I used a MFT to E-mount adapter and inserted the Halpha filter glass directly in front of the camera entrance window. The filter glass is only 2mm thick whereas the distance from the SpeedBooster rear lens to the camera entrance window is 3mm. The effective focal length is now 86mm and the aperture ratio is now F1.3!

As expected, the optical quality of the new optical setup is a bit lower than of the original lens, especially towards the corners. The adapter introduces some amount of coma. The shape of the coma is different in the four corners, maybe there was some tilt of the DIY camera adapter.
