North America and Pelican nebulas stand out left of center, partially outlined by brighter clouds of ionized gas. In the case of the North America nebula, this brighter part is called "the Cygnus Wall".
Right of center is Sadr (Gamma Cyg) star, surrounded by a very bright and large HII region.
As crowded as it can be, this region also includes some other emission and reflection nebulas (including the Crescent Nebula) and many dark structures.
