Description

This is an image we took from our backyard of the Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635). It is classified as an emission nebula and located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. The “Bubble” is around 10 light years in diameter with a distance of around 7,100 light years from Earth.

Unfortunately, you cannot see the Bubble Nebula with your naked eye. However, if you have a large enough telescope and some dark skies, then you should be able to make out a faint fuzzy that resembles a tiny cloud, which is actually a nebula thousands of light years away!

When you are observing through a telescope, objects like these cannot be viewed in color. In order for you to capture color, a long exposure photograph with a camera connected to a telescope is needed. Then color, in conjunction with more detail, becomes readily visible. This image has approximately 23 hours of exposure and was taken over multiple nights.

Our God is amazing!

Psalm 102: 25-27
Of old you laid the foundation of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you will remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away,
but you are the same, and your years have no end.

WOW!
