Description

For a long time I thought moon was all grey, until one day saw images with stunning colors. Just could not reproduce those colors myself. Turns out that PIPP is by default converting lunar images to monochrome. No wonder..

Followed Dave Eagle's brillant guide (https://www.star-gazing.co.uk/WebPage/guides/mineral-moon/). May have overdone the saturation quite a bit in all excitement, but could not resist myself as finally got the colors out :-) Stacked with Autostakkert!2 but for sharpening skipped Registax this time and used GIMP's Sharpen (Unsharp mask) instead.

Canon 1100d, 1/1000s @ 800 ISO. Best 90% of 100 frames.

Thanks for watching and clear skies!
