Description

The Wizard Nebula is a large (100 light year diameter) nebula surrounding the open cluster NGC 7380. It is also catalogued as Sh 2-142. It is to be found around 7,200 light years away in the constellation of Cepheus.

The Wizard Nebula was photographed between 13 and 22 September 2020 from my home observatory in the UK.

Telescope: Skywatcher Esprit 120

Camera: Moravian G2-8300

Filters: Chroma 3nm

Mount: Mesu 200

SII: 21 x 1200s

Ha: 24 x 1200s

OIII: 21 x 1200s

A total of 22 hours exposure.
