Hi all,
there currently is some maintenance going on at AstroBin's hosting provider, and although they said that AstroBin's services would not be affected, this does not seem to be the case. The background tasks are not running at the moment, so the affected bits are:

  • Generation of thumbnails
  • Update of search index
  • Update of AstroBin Index
  • Email sending
Sorry for the inconvenience, the problem should be resolved by morning (central European time)

There seem to be problems not only in the thumbnail generation but in the actual image upload as well

Example image? What browser? Seems to work fine for me.

That has nothing to do with this thread. I haven't had time to look into that yet.

Try clearing your cache Dave.

I cleared the cache and still no horizontal slider on full size images. Cleared cache again and tried restarting  PC same issue. Running Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 11. No issues viewing large images on similar sites ( Hubble image website )

Hi Salvatore,
I figured out the issue and it is on my end. I rotated the image using windoes 10 image viewer and that caused the issue, shame on me!!… When I upload the original image as processed and another that has been rotated by PI there is no issue with the plate solved overlay…

Apologies for throwing you a curveball during your hosting maintenance…

Best regards,
Dave

Hello Salvatore,

I had a look on my galerie here on astrobin recently and there is a problem with my images from the Medusanebula (Ha and HaRGB). I had uploaded both a few weeks ago but now there is only one of them in the gallery but this two times. Now, the Ha-image is lost but I had not delete this. On the other hand it´ s vice versa: Two times Ha-image and no HaRGB. Can you tell me the reason for this ? A few weeks ago all was ok.

Many greetings an thanks for now

astrobrandy (Stefan)
