What about a image challenge in each newsletter - could be a specific target or just a type.  Would promote people to compare etc.
You could also extend into a collaboration.  E.G.  Each submitter can load calibrated frames to a pre-designated location and post colure of the mini-competition this data could be all downloaded by all users to produce a super image of the target.  20 -30 submitters with 5 hours + of data takes the image processing to another realm.  Sounds like another category  for 'Image of…' the AB collaboration image winner.
Suspect if works some world class images could be produced and AB would be the vehicle for that!Paddy

That's a wonderful idea! We already have all the tools for that, i.e. the AstroBin Raw Data platform (which is free for small amount of data, enough for organizing and coordinating these kinds of events.

Why don't you go ahead and make the first proposal for the December newsletter?  smile

I have moved this topic to the Feature Requests category.

Let's coordinate like this: in the newsletter and in a new forum that I will create, I will announce a challenge each month. Everybody is welcome to suggest objects at any time. Then the forum can be used to showcase everybody's interpretations and attempts.
