Mandatory Acquisition Details

Hello all.  I love Astrobin as a website, a tool, and a community.  My only suggestion would be make acquisition details mandatory when submitting an image.  This shouldn't be every single field filled out but at a bare minimum you should have to submit telescope and camera used and sub exposure length.  I like to use the advanced search feature when I'm planning an imaging session to approximate what a given object will look like with my gear.  Way too often I'll find an image that looks really good and click on it only to find the user did not submit any details about gear or acquisition.  This helps no one.  Compare that to a way less formal site like reddit.com/r/astrophotography where if you don't submit acquisition details your post will get deleted or at least you'll be told by the mods to provide them.  Anyway, that's my two cents.  Keep up the good work!

Hello. I totally agree with you. The following details should be mandatory IMO: Telescope/Lens, Cam, Exp.Time and ISO.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, at a bare minimum the scope/camera combo so we know what focal length the image was shot at.  That's what is most important for framing an image.
