Yesterday I reworked a photo of 4 years ago, got about 60 likes but my astrobin index has not risen.
Is this normal?Has anyone already experienced that?

This is probably normal. If a new image does not get likes above the likes average, it does not contribute to the index. If you are interested, you can see the source code of the AB Index calculation.
It is relative easy to write a Python script to calculate the AB Index from the table view of a profile. I have done it as an exercise, using mainly the requests and pandas python packages and by doing so I realize that the index is simple, clever, fair and forgiving. An individual astroimager should constantly improve in order to keep his Index increasing.

If you got the likes today, they might now show up until tomorrow as I think the website only updates once a day, at least it used to.|

|The index went up yesterday with 0.03 points per like from more recent photos but not from the other 60 likes I got from the older photo. So there were updates from the index yesterday.CS.|

That's not the case anymore. Updates are now instant.

Salvatore IoveneThat's good, and why I wasn't 100% sure as I did think they might be going up instantly lately.
