When uploading an image, what are your tips for making sure the object is centered in the thumbnail view? I can’t seem to find any rhyme or reason to how thumbnails are displayed, and I’d love to make sure that my thumbnails look great.

Thanks!
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffery,
AstroBin uses an algorithm to detect the area of greatest entropy, and makes the thumbnail out of it.

I did not write this algorithm, so it's probably not perfect for astronomy images.

In the future I will add the ability for users to select their own thumbnail area.
