Dear fellow astrophotographers, I am currently working on a new project - narrowband image of the Tarantula Nebula. I use PI for all steps in data processing and stretching is supplemented with Fits Liberator. What would be the best way to correct somehow imperfect star shapes in the image, without making them look artificial? Elongation in various directions is caused by imperfect tracking and also by field rotation. I know, I need to better polar align but it is quite a challenge due to quite restricted sky views. The image is here: http://www.astrobin.com/232152/B/ If anyone would like to comment or suggest any ways of improving the photo, that would be awesome!
