I tried out the EZ tools for PixInsigh tonight for the first time. They are quick, however the result I got wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped. How many people on here use them for their main processing? Maybe you just use one or two of them; that would be interesting to know?

I use EZ denoise and EZ soft stretch regularly and I like the results.
Not used EZ Deconv yet, but I plan to give it a try

I've used/tried them.
- For EZ-Decon, I dislike the basic approach (fully masking all stars) and prefer to do deconvolution the conventional way.
- EZ-Denoise is fundamentally the Jon Rista method, I used it before I used EZ-tools but the script is much more convenient. It is my go-to denoise for Lum while linear. Takes some tweaking to get the best result as well as knowledge of how and what the underlying processes do (TGV and MMT). I sometimes skip the MMT when the image doesn't need it, it can be "too much" sometimes.
- EZ-HDR and EZ-Live Stack I have had no need for thus far.
- EZ-Soft stretch seemed interesting, until generalized hyperbolic stretch came along. Now GHS certainly isn't easy - it has a bit of a learning curve even - but you can't argue with the results and of particular note is the new-ish color stretch in GHS.
- EZ-Star Reduction on the other hand is another favorite of mine, in particular the Adam Block method it implements (although that is sometimes a bit strong to my taste, you can always blend the before in with pixelmath to get it just right)
hope this helps

I use EZ Softstretch and EZ Denoise pretty regularly, EZ Decon and EZ Star Reduction occasionally, EZ Denoise is the one I use the most. It's pretty slick, IMHO.

I use them as the backbone of my processing:
- EZ-Decon - hit-or miss, requires care with masking and lots of manual tuning. I find manual Decon way too much hassle. This works for me ~50% of the time.
- EZ-Denoise - is great. I never even bother to tune it.
- EZ-HDR - is pretty good. Works well for me when there is one large galaxy in the frame, not multiple.
- EZ-Soft stretch is pretty good, but maybe 50% of the time I need a milder stretch that sometimes Auto STF (!) gives me. It's nice and quick.
- EZ-Star Reduction is great, and works well for me >80% of the time.
- EZ-Live Stack - I didn't see the point of this for ages, but now use it all the time! I use a reasonably powerful PC at the scope that can easily run PixInsight.

Like most here, I use EZ-Denoise and EZ-Star Reduction pretty much all the time now. I don't use EZDecon much, because I don't like the approach and find the normal Deconvolution process fine. I don't use EZ-HDR, but only because I haven't tried it yet. No need for EZ-Live Stack and I would like to try EZ-Soft stretch, but I am still getting to grips with asinh/soft stretches and their ilk. CS Brian
