Hello Everybody!

Please allow me to offer lunar imagers an Android application.

In the hope it will be useful to some extend, the app is free of charge, free of ads, free of in-app sales and (basically) free of support. Reported bugs will of course be fixed.

Scope
The primary purpose of this application is for planning or accompaning lunar imaging with primary focus on computing libration angles. The computed data is not as precise as NASA’s but fully sufficient for amateurs or vampires.

The screen display can vary with size and aspect ratio as well as with the Android version. The author cannot test and confirm screen layouts for all smartphones and tablets. Please send a screen snap should you encounter layout issues.

An e-book about lunar imaging and a Libration Calendar, both in PDF, can be downloaded from the top page of

Installer
https://www.astropical.space/moon/moon_monitor.apk

Manual
https://www.astropical.space/moon/moon_monitor_manual.pdf

Essential Features
* OpenGL lunar globe (upright and diurnal)
* Crosshairs overlay for visualization of libration
* Rise, transit and set time (local)
* Imaging-relevant data refreshed every 10 seconds
* Lunar ephemeris data
* One-hour interval shift
* Fixed date and time selection
* Monthly lunar calendar with major phases
* Believed to be "downunder-proof"

Installation
Copy the downloaded *.apk to the root directory of your phone or to the root of the SD memory card. Then use a File Manager app to locate and tap on the *.apk. If your device refuses to install you need to allow “Install from unknown sources” as prompted. This application can be trusted as long as downloaded from the offcial link above.

Getting Ready
At first use, you will be prompted for geographic coordinates to be input manually or with GPS. Please turn the device to landscape mode should the manual input fields be truncated at the right. BEFORE using GPS go to Android Settings/Apps/Manage Apps, then, Add Permission. Tap on Location and tick “Allow only while using the app”. Then return to Moon Monitor.

Another great gift for the community, "Mr. Moon"!  Too bad it doesn't run on my iPhone. But my hat's off to your commitment!

Oh man, I was so scared about feedbacks from iPhone users. 🥴
Mr Moon does not have the development environment for iPhones,
which I regret in view of the large(r) iPhone community.
Anyway, thanks a ton for the appraisal.
