|New to Astro Photography…. need to choose between a triplet Explore Scientific or Astro-Tech. Does either have an advantage?|

I have a Stellarvue 80mm APO triplet which I think is fantastic. Unfortunately, I have never tried either the Astro-Tech or Explore Scientific. Taking a quick look at reviews, the Astro-tech might have a slight edge but hard to tell.

|Would agree that the Stellarvues are excellent. They are premium priced, but great optics, excellent construction. The latter is just as important for Astro work. I have an 80mm; my friend and my club each have a 100mm; another has a 130mm. All are great scopes. Also great customer service.|
