Greetings, I am an avid amateur photographer in Singapore (latitude 1 degree, highly light populated) looking to get into astrophotography, particularly interested in shooting emission nebulas with narrowband filters. SHO Hubble palette nebulous images just blown my mind.Saw lots of amazing Astro images here. Did lots of reading and watch lots of YouTube recently. Came up with the following list of equipment to get my feet wet, but unsure if I am on the right track before I pull the trigger. Hopefully someone here can give me some pointers if I am on the right track, given my interest is in photographing emissions nebula, less in planetary and small galaxy. Also the consideration of Low latitude (1 degree) and city state light pollution. There's an astro shop at the science centre in Singapore. Have a chat to my friend Jeffrey Lim who works there. He's also a member of the Singapore astro society so he can advise you on the gear you need and where you can go to take deep sky images in nearby Malaysia. Cheers Andy |
