Hello everyone. I am about to upgrade my equatorial mount which means I will finally be able to use my 11" Edge HD. I plan on using an off axis guider however, I am not sure which ones are reliable. I have already tried the CELESTRON Deluxe OAG but I am not comfortable hanging all my gear off of a few thumbscrews. I currently have my eye on the ZWO, and the QHY off axis guider. Please share your opinions on these two and feel free to recommend other off axis guiders you have found reliable.

The Celestron OAG is quite sturdy, has a large prism and won’t vignette very large sensors, not so different than a MMOAG.    If you are uncomfortable with the included screws then they could be replaced with steel machine screws from most hardware stores.   My only gripe with the Celestron is the 31mm of backfocus.

I used the big celestron OAG back when I had an HDEdge 925, and the BF was an issue.
I have changed scopes (refractor guy now) and found the QHY OAG's to be great especially when matched with a QHY camera. I use them with the StarLight Express ultrastar guide camera
